Let’s talk about something very common, today.

Body hair!

In men it marks the masculinity… For women, it is a matter of shame and needs to be taken care of immediately. We women have been taking care of our body hair like crazy.

The week before this, a guy in the office told me… No time for parlour? Believe me, I was embarrassed. I grow a beard (Thanks to my PCOS and hormonal imbalance). My body is confused at the moment. IT thinks I am a man and hence grows a beard, moustache, bear like brows and making me bald from the crown area. I am my dad!

Anyway, after being embarrassed for few seconds, I replied, “Trying a new look!”

Two days later, I was found sitting on the parlour chair and cursing myself for the full grown brows and beard.

I wonder why I have to wax and my brother gets to be his natural self. There are always sweet, cute, do-no-get-offended types of offending comments on a female’s body hair. Mind it; these comments are not just by men. Maximum of the time, the comments on a woman’s body hair is by other women.

The other day, I was in the local train and there was a girl in front of me. She was wearing a sleeveless top and I noticed her underarm hair. I felt weird. I have stopped wearing sleeveless because of my underarm darkness and hair. Kudos to the girl in back sleeveless top!

Is it the society that made us believe that women are supposed to be hair less? Mind you! Women should have hair on their head, just not everywhere else!

On that ridicule note, I may get ready for work soon. Lucky for me, I do not have to work today, as I am in training for something new. That’s a much needed break.
