Day 24 | Letter: X
Remember the game we played in school ‘X and Zero’? This post is nothing about it.
X’s here mean people who we have dated, loved and given up our life for and zeroes mean the zero expectation we should keep from the next.
I was the kind of girl who believed in, “Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek hi baar hoti hai, aur pyaar bhi ek hi baar hota hai.” (Translation for my English speaking friends – ‘We live once, we die once, we marry only once and we love once as well’) This dialogue is from the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (a Shahrukh Khan movie).
I loved one person, I saw dreams of marrying him and when that was shattered, I said the following statement, “Ab kisi ki aankhein achi hai, toh kisi ke naak achi hai, kisi ke honth ache hai, kisi ke kaan ache hai.” (Translation in English – ‘Someone has beautiful eyes, while some have the best nose or lips or ears…’) Now I like different things about different men and I can’t be dedicated to one man so soon.
There are times in life when you date a guy as a rebound, but it goes too far. You fall in love with your rebound and realise, the earlier guy you liked was never your love, but this one is. The rebound then acts as a rebound and cheats on you and you are shattered again. This is when we have ‘X’s with Zero quality.
A lot of people asks me to not be so men bashing and sexist and all of that, without knowing the fact why I am what I am.
An ex with zero quality is not practically possible but, it is possible. He may have qualities as a human being, but as a boyfriend he lacked the basic hygiene of making reservations.
How to deal with such exes?
Just don’t deal with them. You know why he is an ex. You know the wrong’s he has done. I know it is tempting to go back to him, but trust me not going back to him just for the physical intimacy will be the best decision of your life. Believe me, it will be the best decision made by you.
Say no to the X’s with Zero quality and subtract the drama from your life!

Relatable! I had this one ex and it was a long terrible relationship filled with lies and deception. Well it ended and I felt so depressed. But on the contrary I have lost all interests in dating. I wish I could date but they are so annoying ugh! Heartbreak sucks! Having no expectations is better option.
And dealing with that ex well that’s a long ongoing story. I pretty much do what you suggested in the post.
