Hello All,
Welcome to my A to Z April Challenge, 2016 – Day 6: F

Theme: Relationship
Summary: This post is all about me and my Fifty Shades of Grey relationship.
I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey back in 2012 and had great expectations from it, which were fulfilled. I remember when I was reading Fifty Shades of Grey; people gave me looks especially in the train. My mother asked me way too much questions about the book and all I could tell her was, “Similar to Mills and Boon”. I had a very strange relationship with the book and the characters. I was the promoter of the book. I remember, I influenced quite some girls at work to read this book. In fact, I think I gave them my copy to read. I loved and miss those days when I used to read Fifty Shades of Grey.
People who have read it and liked it will agree that we all loved Christian Grey and yes he did make us drool over him, at least once.
An inside story: When I was reading this book, I was single but had this one sided love/crush for a guy and always fantasized him as Christian Grey. However, I finished reading Fifty Shades Freed in 2013 and in a year I found a guy, fell in love had some fifty shades moment…! Creepy?!?
I was so intrigued with the series that I was sad for a week when the series was over. However, to my rescue there came Sylvia Day’s Crossfire Series.
Fantasies about Christian Grey were something I looked forward to every day. I used to be excited to reach home after work and sit with my Fifty Shades Series. Also, when you have girlfriends at work reading the same book, there is a very interesting discussion going on during break. I used to love those days, when the only man I saw was Christian Grey.
I had the new book ‘Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian’ but I gave it to my ex-lover’s cousin. I might have to order a new copy or reach out to her for the copy. But till then, I am going to start a fling with Christian Grey, again.
I had a healthy relationship with books, however after I fell in love; I was too busy making my own love story. Now with so much time in hand and no boyfriend to say that I spent too much time with books, I can start a relationship with books once again.
This is a perfect gift I am giving myself on my birthday (which is today). I am giving myself the time to read a lot of books and be in love with books all over again.
Comment below the book with which you had a relationship with. Also, bloggers who are following the A to Z April Challenge, I need an advice from you guys. How do you’ll read the blogs of other bloggers? Do you’ll ‘BOOKMARK’ it or do you’ll have a set of favorites?

Great post, Ashmita… I must confess, I’ve never read Fifty Shades of Grey and I doubt I ever will. I’ve heard such horrid reviews of the author’s writing abilities and it put me off reading the series. I do have a love affair often.. but with science fiction books laughs
The best way I have found to keep up with people I am enjoying reading is via Feedly. It is easy to set up and you can keep up with everyone who interests you. Which is how I am keeping up with you!
Many Blessings,
Lori
