Mission Accomplished

Congratulations! Kudos to Me!

At the start of this year, I promised myself that I will write 2 posts every week and strangely I have accomplished that.

Here’s in a nutshell what I did in the past 3 months.

1. Topics/Ideas:

Writing is easy when the flow of idea is frequent. However, thinking of 2 ideas every week isn’t as easy as it sounds. It is a big deal to think of two ideas per week. Hats Off! I am grateful to all the bloggers who post ample of blog posts in a month.

My plan for the three months was deciding all the topics in advance. Though I had planned for 26 posts in 3 months well in advance but I haven’t quite stuck up to the topics decided in advance. I asked my brother and my best friend to give me topics. They helped me with amazing topics; however, I couldn’t think on a few topics and eventually changed them as per my convenience, making sure I don’t skip a day.

The first month – January, 2016, was very easy for me to come up with blog posts as the ideas filled up in the spreadsheet was new and I knew what the topic exactly meant. However, as and when the days passed I had to alter the topics on the spreadsheet and add my current situation topic.

2. Schedule Blog Post:

I had a spreadsheet prepared for my blog post for the first 3 months. There were totally 26 posts since January, 2016 to March, 2016. However, I managed to publish more than 26 posts. 31 Blog Posts to be precise.

I used to write the posts in advance for a few days and schedule them on WordPress. These helped me being on a proper time and not miss a day.  This worked very well for me until it was February. Once February hit the calendar, I used to write on the exact day. This created havoc in the scheduling of blog posts, but at least I managed to publish it on time.

3. Social Life:

I am not a social person. But I am very active on my social media. The little bit of social life that I had was at times impacted, especially when I had the idea but couldn’t write it down. When I had the idea but nowhere near home, I used to get all panicky because I know I will forget it, if I don’t start writing on it, immediately.

Most of the Sundays, I avoided going out with my family as I posted on every Monday and Friday and I had to make sure I was on time on Mondays.

Here’s now a new challenge that I have decided to complete – A to Z April Challenge. I was supposed to write 26 posts in 3 months but the new challenge is me writing 26 posts in one month. It is certainly going to be challenging. So the next couple of days, I am going to spend time making a planner for myself and read a few blog posts of bloggers who have already participated in the A to Z April challenge.

Good luck to all of you who are going to participate in this challenge.
