5 Worst First Date Ideas

 

We all have the ‘first date’ jitters and we expect it to be extra perfect. Every person has different expectations from their First Date. Someone like me would love to go to a book exhibition for my first date, while someone would love a beach set up. However, there is a

notion set about first dates that it has to be in a certain way. Instead of the set up, all we can see is the thought they have put in for setting it up.

There are a few date ideas that are super cute and maybe most of the girls like it, but remember if the first date is spent in, without much talking, one would never know how the person is and maybe the illusion is set up by the time you take the person on a date for the second time and by the time you’ll are on your third date, it might be too late to say that he or she is not the one for you. Eventually, it will lead to a bad break up with too many nasty arguments.

So here’s the list of 5 Worst First Date Ideas:

1. Alcohol Date:

We all like drinking occasionally. However, there are times when one cannot handle their alcohol very well. For a first date, alcohol on the date is the worst idea. You might get a little too tipsy and end up talking things that your date shouldn’t know. We all have secrets that are better kept as secrets. Also, you don’t know the person too well to go on a first date where you or the date will be completely drunk and then you won’t remember what happened hours ago. Naah!

Also, no one would want their date to throw up like a waterfall after having too much Vodka.

2. Movie Date:

How would it sound if you have to sit with a person you barely know for a couple of hours in a dark theater and no talking at all?

This is a horrible option for a first date. First dates are meant to start knowing the person, their behavior, their inner self, their personality. In a dark room with no talking for 2 hours, you would only end up awkwardly sitting without the knowledge of how to and what to talk.

3. Meeting the family/best friends date:

Never take a person on a first date to family function or a best friend’s birthday party.

This might have two outcomes –

1. The date will feel you are too much into him/her and want to introduce them to your family and will start dreaming of something really concrete.
2. The date will freak out and maybe think you are too desperate to settle down before even knowing each other. And will run away.

This can be done post you know the person really well and you know your friends and family will like them and it is a safe option to introduce your love life and family life.

4. Staying in:

Don’t freak out the person by telling him/her, “Let’s have our first date at my place. We will order Chinese.” First dates should be short and safe. Not so safe that you are in the comfort of your home. If a guy asks a girl for the first date arranged at his place, she will freak out, because things will lead to some other tangent. ((You know what I mean)). Also, don’t you think it is too early to let your new date know where you live and how your mom, dad, sister and dog, looks?

Avoid it. It’s a little creepy.

5. Fancy Dinner:

Dinners are really a sweet gesture but after a few dates. In the beginning, especially on your first date, a dinner date would be more like an interview date. I am serious. A lot of people would disagree on this one, but honestly, you’ll need to know each other and how the other one reacts to a certain situation.
